Partners of people with sex or porn addictions often feel like they have limited support while the addict in their lives goes through their own recovery process. Your process is equally, if not more, important than the addict’s.
A partner’s experience is often traumatic and painful because of the betrayal, shame, and anger associated with the addict’s behavior. Discovering that your spouse or significant other has a sex or pornography addiction can feel like your entire world as you knew it is collapsing.
I use my training and experience in working with sex addiction and with the partners of sex addicts to help you re-establish your natural supports, explore and negotiate your boundaries, and unpack your trauma. I am also certified by the Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists as a Clinical Partner Specialist.
